Someone told me one that it’s a crime to live in New England and have never set foot in Cape Cod ever since. And after witnessing this true beauty of an event, I seem to know now the reason why. When vendors like Laura Hooper, Desiree Spinner, and Sayles Livingston add their touches to this seemingly majestic locale, it’s MORE than a reason for me to start making this a my new trip destination. Can’t call East Coast as your home? Well, don’t worry. Grab a cup of coffee and experience the magic that only Cape Cod can offer by looking into the pictures here.
From Desiree Spinner… Steven and Stacey wanted an exquisite (but not too stuffy) kind of a Cape Cod wedding so that all of their families, friends, and guests would be amazed. They incorporated a lot of navy, silver, and tiffany blue so that their wedding could truly embody the nautical feel of the place which also matched the stunning Chatham venue. Chatham Bars Inn was the perfect choice for the couple because they wanted to have their wedding ceremony along the sand and have their dinner at the Beach House Grille while casual cocktails at the boat house after. And above all, they chose this place because most of the guests came from all points in the U.S. and they needed a place to stay while getting to know each other a little bit along with the company of the couple.
The Beach House old décor of ship replicas and onion lanterns were used during the reception party while some silver lanterns were used on the cocktail tables. Sayles took care of the table setting and paired some conventional Cape Cod white hydrangeas with orchids to be used on the long table. The tables were also dresses with pintucked organdy linens placed over cotton mix and linen. We have also paired these silver chiavari chairs along with silver chargers that came with navy cotton napkins and with Tiffany ribbons in blue. To bring in the feel of the seaside at the reception party, we placed custom made table numbers made from sailor knots and it was placed along with hurricane candles all over the tables. We really wanted to bring in the feel of the sea inside that why we carefully selected these elements to exactly represent the nautical nature Cape Cod. There’s a great deck overlooking the outside of the Beach house and it was a perfect spot for dancing for us and for the guests. So we placed a clear top tent over the area for the purpose of letting all the guest know that this was the dancing area and they could have a great time while looking at the stars and the ocean when the night time comes. The wedding really brought out the old and traditional Cape Cod and all the out of towners were so happy and glad to have experience this at our wedding celebration.
